The READY BOOK™ is supported by those who share an interest in emergency preparedness/management and are committed to minimizing the impact of natural disasters and medical emergencies everywhere.
The READY BOOK™ was designed with one blank page located between TAB 7 and TAB 8. This page provides businesses, government agencies, and organizations with the opportunity to show their support for the READY BOOK™ and the people it serves through a sponsorship program. Each sponsorship level is per language translation and extends for one year.
Level One ($10,000)
• Name and logo (2"x2") on the READY BOOK™ sponsor page
• Name and logo on the READY BOOK™ website
• 25 copies of the READY BOOK™
Level Two ($5,000)
• Name and logo (1"x1") on the READY BOOK™ sponsor page
• Name and logo on the READY BOOK™ website
• 10 copies of the READY BOOK™
If your business, government agency, or organization is interested in becoming a READY BOOK™ sponsor, please contact Steve Wood or call 541-210-6094. [amalgamated design concern llc] reserves the right to decline sponsorship offers.
Sponsorships funds will be used to better educate and serve our communities emergency preparedness/management, to include READY BOOK™ additional language translations, smart device applications (iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Google Android), etc.
Do you have a DUNS number? Yes, it's DUNS #0333570014.
Can anyone purchase a READY BOOK™, or must you be a client of the government? Anyone can get a READY BOOK™. To order a personal, non-customized READY BOOK™ for yourself, family or friends, please contact www.redesupply.com This retailer accepts a variety of payment options including debit and credit cards. PLEASE NOTE: There is a 24-book limit per customer because we have limited non-customized stock on-hand.
Can READY BOOK™ orders be combined together to get a lower price? Absolutely, we can combine orders from different agencies to ensure the lowest per book price possible; just let us know what size order you are considering. Agencies can also combine orders together to get a lower per book price before they contact us. The READY BOOK™ is currently available in English and Spanish versions that are both the same price.
How do you customize the READY BOOK™? For the very low cost of a $100.00 graphic design and set up fee you can have your agency logo and slogan printed directly onto the READY BOOK™. This is a cost effective way of getting your messaging out to those who would directly benefit from it.
How is the READY BOOK™ created? Our company uses an ‘on-demand’ method of printing since the books are quite complex to produce; they are made of waterproof pages and require hand assembly. We also do not keep a large number of books in-stock because of its dynamic nature, and our ability to customize.
Do you ever update the READY BOOK™? Yes, we are always taking input to improve the READY BOOK™ to better serve the needs of our private and public sector partners.
How does the wristband identification system work? The wristbands have 3 methods of linking the owner to the personal/medical information contained inside his/her READY BOOK™. Each READY BOOK™ comes with its own specific I.D. number printed on the wristbands and the page containing the wristbands. Although the individual wristbands can be removed, the wristband page should never be removed from the READY BOOK™. The user can also write his/her name on the wristbands, or once inside an emergency shelter, the (Code 39) barcode can be scanned using a commercial grade barcode scanner—which shows the printed I.D. number specific to each READY BOOK™ and can be downloaded into the emergency shelters database, if available. Currently, smartphones will not scan a (Code 39) barcode.
Are grants to purchase the Ready Book available? Many local government agencies have used Citizen Corps (UNITING COMMUNITIES PREPARING THE NATION) to obtain grants to purchase the READY BOOK™ for their communities. Your local Citizen Corps chapter is part of your regional FEMA organization. Citizen Corps is able to allocate dollars to purchase materials that would help adult, vulnerable, or diverse populations in case of a natural disaster or manmade catastrophe. Citizen Corps does ask that you place their logo, along with your organizational logo, on the custom TAB 7 page of the READY BOOK™ to help identify where the funding came from. If you are not familiar with Citizen Corps, you can find your local contact by going to www.citizencorps.gov and typing in your zip code.
What are the magnets and decals supposed to do? The sticky-faced READY BOOK™ Window Decals were created to alert rescue workers and caregivers that there is a READY BOOK™ inside your dwelling. The business-card sized READY BOOK™ Refrigerator Magnets were created to alert rescue workers and caregivers as to the location of the READY BOOK™ within your dwelling. The locator magnet is erasable (dry erase) or permanently (Sharpi) marked, depending on the pen used.
Can the READY BOOK™ be reused over and over again? The short answer is no. However, even though we designed the READY BOOK™ to be a one per customer product, we are working on a family version, and a smart device application to give READY BOOK™ customers more choices. After the READY BOOK™ is used in a natural disaster or medical emergency, it would be best to recycle it and purchase a new one.
Is the READY BOOK™ waterproof? The READY BOOK™ pages are made from a special waterproof plastic type of paper.
Is the READY BOOK™ copyrighted material? Yes, it is.
